Robotic hand which realistically moves its fingers. Funny kit for demonstration of Flexinol properties. Perfect for study of electronics and mechanics.
Butterfly demonstrating properties of Flexinol® as a lightweight and silent actuator used to move the butterfly wings.
Put hot water to one container, cold water to second container and watch how the motor start spinning. This kit shows the practical use of Nitinol in the so called heat engine, which uses the difference of temperatures between the two containers where is placed the Nitinol spring which contracts in hot water and easily stretches after cooling down....
Presenting everything you need to successfully design, build, and operate devices with SMA Wires that actually contract when electrically powered and lift thousands of times their own weight.
Nitinol is an alloy made of Nickel and Titanium and it was invented in the Naval Ordnance Laboratory in 1958. It is one of the most known Memory Shape Alloys. We deliver raw Nitinol in form of 1,5m long wires. Activation temperature is between 0-10°C and may differ +-5°C. Raw wires are in superelastic form.
Nitinol spring for demonstration purposes. For easy transfer it comes packed in glass vial. Activation temperature is 30-40°C. Length is 20mm, diameter is 5mm and wire diameter is 0,5mm.
Nitinol is an alloy made of Nickel and Titanium and it was invented in the Naval Ordnance Laboratory in 1958. This wire is suitable for shape memory experiments and magic tricks! This is pre-trained Nitinol in form of 1,5m long wires. It is possible to shape the wires and train them by annealing. Activation temperature is between...
Flexinol® is high quality alloy which work as an artificial muscle which contracts with great power when heated. It is delivered in various diameters ranging from 0.025mm to 0.5mm. Variants with activation temperature 70°C and 90°C are available.
